Troubleshooting

This section briefly explains the checks that should be done regularly in order to keep speech processors working optimally.

We will also describe what to check if you feel there is a problem with the speech processor.

However each company will have differing terminology and advice. It is useful to be familiar with your equipment prior to having a problem and also be familiar with the terminology used for the equipment (covered earlier in how a cochlear implant works).

Each of the companies have excellent websites with lots of useful information and there are also helpful instructional videos on their websites and on YouTube. Links have been added to this section but these are not exhaustive. If ever you have a problem you can always contact USAIS directly for help and advice.
